Music Lessons! New York Pops offers FREE music lessons on Saturdays throughout the school year, to talented junior high students citywide. Lessons are offered as part of the Department of Education’s Borough-Wide Band and Orchestra Program, which aims to teach students who wish to study music but whose schools have limited resources.

This is an opportunity for students to learn and perform in an interactive group setting. At the end of the year, 20 students are selected to perform on the Carnegie Hall stage with The New York Pops at the orchestra’s gala concert.
