Volunteer at the office of Councilwoman Carlina Rivera (Y1s-Y2s) at the District Office

Councilmember Carlina Rivera represents the 2nd Council District which includes the diverse neighborhoods of the East Village, Flatiron, Gramercy Park, Rose Hill, Kips Bay, Murray Hill and the Lower East Side. She is dedicated to many issues, including affordability, open space, climate resiliency, education equality, and small business survival.

Administrative Intern [maximum of 10 hours a week, mainly afternoon from 4PM to 6PM] – Students who apply should be highly organized and detail-oriented with an interest in New York City politics and government operations.  Students will be expected to assist with filing and organizing official documents in the office.

Outreach Intern [maximum of 10 hours a week, mainly evening hours after 6PM)] – Students will be expected to represent the office at community events and meetings. Spanish and/or Cantonese or Mandarin fluency (speech/writing skills) preferred. Selected applicants will gain valuable work experience in government operations, office management, and community outreach.

This is an unpaid internship.
