Youth & Government for teens (at Chinatown YMCA)

Youth & Government for teens (at Chinatown YMCA) is a hands on learning experience on how our nation’s democratic process works from the inside out. Starting with issues that stir their passions, teens learn to debate public policy, write legislation and present at the State Legislature in Albany. Proposed legislation originated by YMCA Youth & Government participants has been presented by actual legislators and signed into New York State Law. We are looking for a team of students that are interested in engaging in learning and modeling government at the local, state and potentially national level.
