Health Career Opportunity Program at NYU

The Health Career Opportunity Program is a unique hands–on clinical experience primarily geared towards college students interested in entering the health field. The program is also open to recent college graduates and high school seniors who are at least 17 years old. Students will participate in small and large group meetings, attend medically based conferences and classes in rehabilitation medicine, and experience a total immersion into hospital life.

The Health Career Opportunity Program consists of three four-week internships that provide students with a hands-on clinical experience and exposure to the diversity and variety of health professions.  The HCOP is unique because it offers students the opportunity to receive an intense experience in one specific health field and also explore other health professions. Many graduate and professional schools realize the importance of internships such as the HCOP.
