AMIGOS de las Americas:
A summer abroad, service learning program that empowers young adults to grow as leaders and increase their multi-cultural understanding through training and community service projects in Latin America.

China Institute’s Summer Study in China:
Mandarin language immersion programs for high school students in New York City and in Beijing, China.

Earthwatch Institute:
People from around the world, of all ages and backgrounds, join Earthwatch Expeditions. One thing unites them: a passion for protecting our planet and its wealth of species.

Learning Programs International:
High quality language and cultural immersion opportunities to U.S. high school students at an affordable price.

Loop Abroad Thailand:
An opportunity for students to pursue subjects of interest as they relate to pressing global issues, while exploring and learning about a new culture.

National Geographic Student Expeditions:
National Geographic offers student travel programs around the world each summer that aim to inspire and educate middle school and high school students ages 13 and older. Get into the field on an Expedition, Community Service trip, Photography Workshop, or University Workshop, in a destination that captures your imagination.

National Security Language Initiative for Youth:
NSLI-Y provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students to learn less commonly taught languages in 6-8 week overseas summer programs. TUITION FREE!! **Applications are due in the Fall for the following summer**

Summer adventures in sustainability that combine environmental education with adventure travel and outdoor leadership.
Scholarships & Financial Aid:

The Experiment in International Living:
Gives high school students the unique opportunity to enrich themselves and the world around them by offering three-, four-, and five-week programs in 30 countries around the world. Scholarships & Financial Aid: 50% of EIL participants obtain aid, with awards ranging from 5-50% of the program fee.  If you would like to get a jump start on the FA process, please contact Geoff.Hunt@worldlearning.orgThe FINAL deadline to request Financial Aid is April 1.

WAVES for Development:
Education and Surf Voluntourism programs in coastal communities that engage travelers & transform their views of the world and themselves.

Where There Be Dragons:
Language study, volunteering, internships, homestays, backpacking and the study of philosophy, music & arts combine for authentic learning adventures. All scholarships are needs based, but they are competitive.  Anyone interested should write to receive scholarship materials. There is no actual deadline, but the earlier a student applies, the better.
